Grievance Process
How does a patient/family file a complaint?
•The patient/family member may speak with the charge nurse and/or nurse manager/ nursing supervisor who will try to resolve the complaint
•The patient/family member may fill out a grievance form
•If complaint unresolved, the complaint will be referred to the hospital Administrator, CNO, or Risk Manager
•The attending physician will also be notified regarding the complaint
•If the concerns or questions cannot be resolved, AHCA or The Joint Commission may be contacted.
